Reasons why I like this phone: I've had this phone for 4 years. I'm clumsy. I've dropped it countless times on concrete and kicked it accidently too, making it skid across the floor screen down. Other than scratches on the outside, it's fine. Both display screens are fine. Speaker phone is fine. Receiving calls and being able to hear the other person = fine. One con is if you're underground/in a gym/somewhere with lots of piping, there's no signal. No really that big of a deal though. At least 3-4 day battery life if you don't talk a lot. And also, if you don't like the ringtones, record your own. I got this free with a Rogers plan, so a con is that you can't download ringtones onto this phone if it's from Rogers. You can however use recordings as ring tones. You know if you don't like the games on it, just buy ones you do? Playing games drain the battery anyways. Music player does too, but at least it shuffles and repeats songs. Overall, this phone is a brick, and not as bad as everyone is saying. Less

My wife and I got this phone 2 years ago, and I must say it worked good the first few months, and now I've had this problem for too long. The phone magically will think you have a headset plugged in and will show the little headphone icon, and does not let hear anyone speaking unless you put it on speaker phone. This happens randomly, AND this happens on both of our phones, we have the same Nokia phone. The headphone symbol will come up at any random time, and go away randomly too. Right now my phone has had this problem for 2 weeks straight. My wife's phone has been working fine for these weeks, but hers also randomly has the headphone icon come up and faces the same problem. Just spend a few more dollars and get a better phone than this one... I had to find out the hard way. You can google this problem for this specific phone too. It's a common problem with this phone. Got the phone free for signing up with ATT. So pricewise can't beat that. BUT it's worthless. So free is whats it worth! Battery life is 2 days if I don't make any calls on it. Worse if I actually use it. Can't hear a single call completely. If I'm lucky I get 3 bars in the kitchen standing right next to the refrigerator. Everywhere else is 2 or 1 bar. And I live in the middle of 2 ATT tower areas. Plus calls drop constantly. Have to call people back on 2 out of 3 calls. Camera is terrible. MP3 is crap, etc. The manual is a joke. It tells you all about the features but doesn't explain HOW to use them! So I would NOT advise getting this phone even if it is free. No one should pay for this piece of junk. I've never liked this phone much. Cheesy ring tones, poor sound, poor connectivity. I don't need bogus games and music, just need a phone to be a phone, you know? Then ,alas, it died. Battery is fine & fully charged but now the phone is DEAD. No warning, just DEAD. 11 months old and now DEAD. I removed the battery to check connections and noticed the 'Made in Mexico" sticker--it figures. Now I understand why it's a p.o.s. I've never dropped it, spilled any liquid on it, I only swore at it & called it bad names when it cut me off or lost signal. Does ANYBODY make ANYTHING that is ANY good anymore? All I need is a darn PHONE THAT WORKS! Anyway if you find one let me know, oh, and no 'made in Mexico' or China or Korea please. Would like one made where people actually give a crap about what they're making & why they're making it. Less

Granted, I got this phone for free signing up for a new contract, but given the choice I would not choose this phone again. Pros: I can't really think of any except that it's pretty minimalist if that's what you are looking for. The speaker phone function was pretty handy on occasion. Camera seems to be ok, if you care about that thing. The ringer options also sound nice. Cons: -Reception & call quality. Calls sound pretty bad on the phone, like a digitized hollow sound. At first I thought it was just AT&T since prior phone carriers that I had before had much better sound quality. But then other AT&T customers that I know with different phones (iPhone) said that their call quality and reception was excellent, so I point the finger back to the phone. Calls drop pretty frequently and I do find myself often where signal strength is too week to make a call (I'm in NYC). -Screen. Very hard to read the screen in sunlight because of glare. Also, carrying in my pocket, something happened to the screen, there are specks that look like dust or something else, that have gotten into the screen which make it very unreadable. Also, the outside clock display isn't all that readable and sometimes arbitrarily will not show the time. -Useability. Texting on the phone is very difficult. Somehow it got into this mode where hitting the buttons would produce some code rather than the letter you wanted to press. I think I was able to figure out how to get it back into normal mode, but it was not intuitive. Also, I didn't have a data plan, but there one of the main buttons that if you accidentally press it starts trying to access the internet. Even if you cancel it, a charge will show up on your bill for the few bytes transferred. I ended up having to call AT&T to have data access prohibited to prevent this from happening. -Poor battery life. The battery life lasts about 2 days before you need to recharge. If you make calls, that drops to less than 2 days on when you need to recharge. I also would like the charging to be generic USB to increase options of recharging, rather than a proprietary charger. Their main markets are 3rd world; where people buy based on the fact that other have the phone and service/parts are an issue. Call quality is decent, reliability is ok, robustness is ok. But the UI and usability is just plain atrocious. Almost like they want to frustrate you to use their phone. Features like check where the pics I just took, or mute the phone etc.. are just not intuitive. Less

Pro: excellent phone stylish Con: see below i just got this phone recently, came free with my contract reup. i was lucky because it was the upgrade to the phone that i currently had nokia 6103 so i was told. navigation through the menues was similar with noticible upgraded texting. it has an mp3 player and a port to add expandable memory card. the rechargers for home and car are compatible but the data transfer cable to your computer for this phone is NOT compatible with the 6103. also a noticible drawback was the cell phone case i had was designed with a magnetic flip cover on it and surprisingly this caused interferance with the 6085 causing calls to go straight to my voicemail. im guessing (since i dont have my expansion memory card yet) that it would also cause problems with the memory card card. once i changed my carrying case to a non magnetic one all was fine. hope this helps with your choices. Good phone.

Being a firefighter, this phone has taken a beating from everything from being dropped, got wet, sat on, etc and keeps working. The case has held up well over the past year. Speaker phone is okay. Overall audio is fine, mic tends to be overly sensitive to other noice nearby. Overall have been satisfied.
