What the Critics Are Saying...

3G.co.uk

The Huawei P30 Lite is a very strong mid-ranger overall, with a class-leading camera and a premium design being the main high points. The screen is also decent, if no better than rivals, and there’s lots of storage. Where the phone falls down a bit is in battery life and power – neither are bad, but...

ZDNet

The P30 Lite is the most affordable of the three P30-series smartphones, which should give it some appeal. Rather than cut back across the board to hit its price target, Huawei has delivered an attractive industrial design and an above-average camera system, at the expense of screen technology and b...

The Huawei P30 Lite has some of the flagship P30 magic, but those little sparkles are not enough to light up the fire of excitement. It has a good screen, but it's not an OLED. There is a triple-camera on the back, but it's not even close to what the P30's and the Pro's can do. The lack of excitemen...

Huawei proves you don't have to spend a lot to get a lot. The P30 Lite isn't the perfect budget phone, but there's still plenty here to like if a flagship is out of your reach.

Where the phone falls down a bit is in battery life and power – neither are bad, but nor are they as good as we’d like for the money.

There is a triple-camera on the back, but it's not even close to what the P30's and the Pro's can do. The lack of excitement doesn't make the P30 Lite a bad phone, on the contrary - it has a lot going on, including game-ready hardware. But it far from being competitive until its price goes down.

A breath of fresh air in the world of large smartphones

from Gadgetbyte

The Huawei P30 Lite seems to offer good stuff to the table overall. The main competition to it right now is the Galaxy A50 especially because of its superior AMOLED display and slightly better performance. But other than that, you are getting a very appealing design, more storage and an impressive set of cameras with the P30 Lite.

Striking design with triple cameras and aggressive pricing

from BGR

The Huawei P30 Lite seems to be a strong contender when we look at the specifications on paper. And from what I have seen of the smartphone, it might just turn out that it will live up to the expectations. It will surely give a tough fight to the numerous smartphones that Samsung is coming up with to flood all the price segments.

Stunning design and versatile camera setup on a budget

from TechRadar

The P30 Lite sheds a lot of what makes its higher-end siblings stand out but manages to deliver high-end design and a versatile triple camera setup on a budget. Middling battery and chipset aside, Huawei might have another budget hit on their hands.
