Android tablets launched prior to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean’s arrival were plenty powerful already. Yet the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity Wi-Fi, with its 1.5GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, still manages to top the market’s best offerings, both in terms of form and function.
The Pad Infinity Wi-Fi is the latest flagship Android tablet to come out of the Asus stable, and it features a 10.1-inch full HD 1920x1200 Super IPS+ touchscreen LCD, 1GB of onboard RAM, up to 64GB of internal storage space, a bevy of wireless connectivity features including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
When it comes to hardware, this Asus tablet is nearly peerless. Its got a dual camera configuration with an 8-megapixel sensor on the main, the screen is protected by a tough layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 2, and it comes with a dock-slash-keyboard accessory that can be used to add USB ports and extend the battery to further improve its overall feature-set. And best of all, the included software is scheduled to be upgraded to Android’s latest version, Jelly Bean 4.1, some time in the near future.
It’s quite difficult to find fault in the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity Wi-Fi. It’s thin and light, and with the battery extender in the form of the included keyboard dock, it matches the industry’s best in terms of battery life. Still, if you need a device with built-in 3G or LTE for on-the-go wireless, you may need to set your sights elsewhere or on LG's other versions of this tablet.

But, the Asus still...
- David Pierce , The VergeFor the price, it's really hard to recommend anything over the iPad. The iPad's screen is at least as good, and its app selection absolutely laps Android's. It's also just faster, and smoother; apparently it takes more than just an Android 4.1 upgrade to fix what's wrong with the Infinity. No, there...
- Victor H., PhoneArenaIf you are looking to replace your notebook with the Transformer Pad Infinity with keyboard dock, it might be a bit too early. Asus has done a good work on the dock, but it’s Android that is slightly lagging behind to fully support it and developers are probably also to blame. We miss more and bette...
