The Polar Vantage V is an impressive watch in many ways and a fitting successor to the V800. The design overhaul largely gets the thumbs up from us as does the amount of data it can deliver. It ticks the right boxes for those core sports tracking features and the HR monitor impresses as well. But there are some question marks over the software experience both on the watch and in Polar Flow as things stand now.

A powerful new watch from Polar

from TechRadar

The Polar Vantage V is lighter, better looking and more fully featured than any Polar multisport watch we’ve seen and while it doesn’t come cheap, if you’re serious about competing in your sport at any level, this is going to be worth a look.

For the running hardcore this crushes the Apple Watch

from T3

Wrist heart rate tracking has long been frustratingly unreliable but the Vantage V looks like it could change that. Add in a range of advanced tracking and coaching features and you have a watch that elite (and would-be elite) runners will love… And for the less enthusiastic road warrior, there's the Vantage M.
