A follow-up in Fitbit's most popular range

from TechRadar

The Fitbit Charge 3 doesn't bring any groundbreaking features that we haven't seen on a fitness tracker or smartwatch before, but it's a more refined package, cheaper than the last one and looks to be a solid activity band.

T3

Probably best in class, yet still weirdly uninspiring

from T3

We've not had much quality time with the Charge 3 but Fitbit's devices are so familiar that – barring something catastrophic happening like exploding batteries or sensor failure – we can already tell you exactly what it will be like. And what it will be like is: best in its class, and yet still rather underwhelming.

Macworld

An all-week fitness tracker with the soul of a smartwatch

from Macworld

As far as fitness features go, the Charge 3 is pretty much what you’d expect from an updated Charge 2, with an updated heart rate sensor as well as a new relative SpO2 sensor for monitoring oxygen saturation.

Better controls come with a trade-off

from Engadget

Fitbit designed the Charge 3 for a more general audience -- people like my mom who want to stay active, track their sleep and remain connected to their phone but don't like the aesthetic or complications of a smartwatch. For them, I can see this being a compelling device.

Pocket-lint

The fitness tracker we didn't know we wanted

from Pocket-lint

The Fitbit Charge 3 is a fantastic evolution of the Charge family. It's the fitness tracker we didn't even realise we wanted. The design is far more sophisticated than its predecessors, offering a premium, modern feel that is lightweight, comfortable and packed full of features.

Fitbit has successfully redesigned its most popular product

from Tech Advisor

Given that it comes two years after the Charge 2 we think it’s a warranted upgrade, particularly if you desire the longer battery life and full waterproofing. And for first-time buyers, you won’t find a better-featured activity tracker on the market at such a fair price.

Wareable

Slim, good looking and feature packed

from Wareable

As an upgrade to the Charge 2, there's a whole lot to like here. It looks so much nicer, it's finally brought about changes we've wanted to see on the Charge for some time (waterproofing FTW) and its enhanced features that have already impressed us on the current Charge.
