Overcome the limitations of closed-back headphones

If you must have closed-back headphones and can stretch to the HD 820s, you won’t be disappointed. They’re comfortable and obviously engineered to last. Most of all they’re hugely talented and rarely sound less than entertaining, almost regardless of source material. Highly recommended.

from MajorHifi

The Sennheiser HD 820 is a unique headphone. It is both serious and fun. It marries a realistic soundstage with a frequency response with gems of character. Because of the attention to detail and variety of cables and listening options, they’re versatile.

Almost my dream headphones

from The Next Web

At first glance, the Sennheisers HD820 are nearly everything I want out of a headphone. As much as I ultimately value sound quality over convenience, my open-back headphones get much less use compared to their sealed brethren.
