ZDNet

Great battery life, but no heart-rate monitoring

from ZDNet

The Vivofit 4 is a relatively straightforward activity tracker, although there are plenty of options in the Garmin Connect app. The main draw is its year-long battery life.

Android Authority

Two steps forward, one step back

from Android Authority

In a lot of ways, the vívofit 4 is a worthy successor over its predecessor. It's more comfortable, has a new color display, and plenty of useful extras. But the lack of heart rate monitor connectivity is unfortunate, and we hope it returns with the next model.

Wareable

All about the basics, but it’s no slouch

from Wareable

The Vivofit 4 is all about hitting the basics, and does so competently. The year-long battery life is a big pull and Garmin's MoveIQ exercise tracking works well, even if the lack of GPS means accuracy could be better for runners.

A year-long battery with a screen

from TechRadar

The Garmin Vivofit 4 introduces a color screen to the range, improves the design and comfort as well as offering unbeaten battery life. This won't suit those looking for lots and lots of fitness tracking features, but for the basics the Vivofit 4 is a great for your wrist.

Does the basics well

from Gadget Guy

It is small, lightweight and does a good job for me. I have tested other more expensive trackers and smartwatches in the past, but invariably it comes back to the basics – how well does it track walking, sleeping and activity.
