If your KeepKey is lost or stolen, you can safely recover your device and its bitcoins without compromising the security of your private keys. Virus and Malware Proof: Because KeepKey does not have an operating system, the layers that viruses, malware, and key loggers infect do not exist on the device. Using KeepKey gives you confidence that hackers can't get to your bitcoins. KeepKey not only supports Bitcoin, but also Ethereum, Litecoin, Namecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, and Testnet. Works on PC, Mac, Linux, and Android: KeepKey is a USB HID-class device. That means, like a typical mouse or keyboard, drivers are not required. Plug in the provided premium USB cable, and your device just works: immediately giving you the highest level of bitcoin security.

ScamBitcoin

One of the most recognized hardware wallets

from ScamBitcoin

The Keepkey can be described as a pretty cool device. It’s small and cute and easy to use and most importantly, does a good job at keeping your coins safe. The only downside would be that it seems the product is currently unavailable.

Bitcoinist

A great choice for being your own vault

Since setting up and updating the KeepKey was a little easier alongside its excellent design, it could be a great choice for the novice Bitcoin user for only $30 bucks more.

Overall I am very satisfied with the KeepKey hardware wallet and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to keep their Bitcoin more secure than holding them in a wallet on your computer.

Coinjournal

Definitely a strong contender

from Coinjournal

Overall, the Keepkey is a great device, the Oled display and one button makes actually physically using the device a lot easier than others and it stands apart in terms of its professional design. The plugins are easy to install and use, but the lack of a web wallet took a bit of getting used to, however after less than half an hour I enjoyed the flexibility. The only negative I found with the device was the lack of options within the plugin: The ability to send directly from a link and being able to label sending addresses would be welcome additions, the latter of course, is available when using the Keepkey with software such as Electrum or Multbit.

Techzei

Reliable and safe, amazing build quality

from Techzei

The KeepKey is very similar to the Trezor wallet in many ways. In fact, it runs on a fork of the Trezor OS. On the hardware side, it is a really beautiful device you’d want to own and has a right fit in the palm of your hands. On the software side, it lives in the chrome toolbar. Also, the chrome extension lets you directly pay via Bitcoins on the checkout page on sites that accept bitcoins.

BitReview.com

Offers a more sturdy feeling product with the same security - at a premium price

from BitReview.com

OK, so Keepkey is located at the very pinnacle of the hardware security market, right alongside Trezor and Case. Why would someone select Keepkey, which retails at $239, over Trezor which does all the same stuff at $99? Keepkey is the lexus to trezor, which is a hyundai. Both get you to the same place, but it is more fun to drive the lexus. And this is not limited to the aesthetics - some find Trezor much too small and the penny-sized screen difficult to read. This leads to transactions taking a longer time to complete on average. Is this worth an additional $140? It could be to some.

We’re not aware of any other digital wallet that employs as many security features as this one, and when you consider the quality of its build, its ease of use, and multiple security layers, KeepKey is arguably one of the best devices currently available to protect your Bitcoins. You can grab KeepKey for $239, and it works with PC, Mac, and Linux.

The Merkle

Makes it near impossible for hackers to steal your bitcoins using traditional means

from The Merkle

One advantage that the KeepKey has against the Ledger wallet is the fact that the scrambled number pad is displayed directly on the KeepKey screen, unlike with the Ledger where the scrambled number pad shows up on the computer. As a result the KeepKey is more secure than the Ledger Wallet but at the same time it costs ten times more.

CoinGecko

A really beautiful hardware wallet

from CoinGecko

Overall, I find the KeepKey a great hardware wallet. It looks stunning and is really sleek. Its security credentials mirror those of the Trezor and are among the best in the market. The good thing about the KeepKey is that it can be initialized on a compromised computer. However, I wish that the KeepKey wallet on Chrome could be improved. That said, you can use KeepKey on other popular Bitcoin wallets such as Electrum and Multibit to avoid the problem mentioned.
