My first six months with this phone I experienced no problems at all. After that though, I have been experiencing more and more problems every week. At first it was just the screen blacking out, and I would take out the battery hoping that it would work. In the past few weeks it has gotten progessively worse. The screen will pixilize the image and when flipped shut, it will litterally flip the image. Sometimes I have to take the battery out multiple times or leave it out for a few minutes. I am very disappointed in this phone. Less

Impressed that this phone survived a calamity

Dropped it in the footbath at Waikiki where people rinse the sand off their feet. Thought it would be kaput, but upon fishing it out, I discovered that the power was still on. Opened it up, took out battery and SIM card, wiped off any moisture I could see and everything has been working fine since....More

Internet connection works good. Bluetooth works good. Less

PROS: large screen. speaker phone, web speeds, chat style messaging, 3g, dj photo edit, flash! CONS: call quality ( wich its not really a texting phone so am kinda disapointed in that ) wierd that in my old phone there was a mute button on the phone so when am working i could just pressed that... this phone doesnt have it. i have to go in profile and put it in meeting setting... I and my wife picked this phone for features and nice design. I listen to music at work, so good music features was imporant for me. My wife's phone died within three months. Mine worked for six months, now I can no longer listen to music becasue of the connector failure (the phone recognizes the headhpones, but the music is choppy, and the headset works fine with my old Sony phone). What is worst is that the screen goes blank. The phone works, I can receive calls and speak ok, but the screen is just black. You have to take out the battery and pray that it works. Every now and then it does. Sent it for repairs, the retuned stating that no issues were found. I'm now back to my old phone. Very, very disappointed. This is my last Sony Ericsson phone. I've been using these for many years, and they became progressively worse. This is it for me. Less

I would rate this phone at 5/10. The very first mistake I did was buying this phone over the phone. The back side is extremely slippery. I dropped it like 3 times in first 5 days. And I thought maybe Im careless, but when I went to get plastic cover for it, there were more like me complaining same about it. as someone already mentioned, sound quality is crappy. my friends said that there is so much noise and I never believed them but eventually they made me hear. And yes it does sound like you are in a tin can. Another issue is the connectivity to the headphones. Most annoying is that you have same port for headphones and charging. That means if you are charging your phone and need to go handsfree, you can't. After some time the connection gets loose. I liked the keypad because of good size of buttons. But after some time, they become loose and when you press them they kinda get shaky. And the slider thing as well starts shaking after a while.

I second that! You are spot on with why the phone sucks! So annoying. I am getting myself a new phone tomorrow and I will never buy another Sony Ericsson.

A very nice phone

Pros: 1) It feels more sturdy and well-built compare to some other messenger phone around the same price range. 2) The keys are pretty firm and easy to use by feel alone (compare to a touch screen phone that you have to look at the screen to press and still miss the key) 3) Small size when closed, y...More

(compare to a smart-phone, you pay like $30/month for data plan) 5) The built-in camera is pretty good compare to similar product (after all, sony does make some nice digital camera) 6) Talking quality is pretty good, both loud and clear over the phone. However, the speaker phone is not as good. Cons: 1) Music Player not as good as other sony walkman phone, and lacking some features 2) Battery last only for 4-5 days (compare to my old phone which can last for 8-10 days; yet it still better than most smart-phones which barely last 2 days) 3) No 2.5mm or 3.5mm head phone jack, you need to use the provided proprietary head set 4) Menu navigation is somewhat confusing (at least to me a sony ericsson newbie), and the user manual is too simple doesn't explain well on how to use certain settings. My Best Choice

The Sony Ericsson T715 is the closest step to a smartphone thanks to it's cunning and advanced features! To be honest this phone is both a great quality camera phone and an above satisfactory MP3 Player. Add-on a 3.5G internet and you are well on your way to a great deal. Pros: 3.5G Internet MP3 Player (Genuine Feeling) 3.2 MP Camera (Flash Included) Flashy Design Quick Response Superb Battery Life Quick and Above Satisfactory Bluetooth Transfer Flawless Video Playing (Well detailed) Youtube (Fido Won't Let You) Keys Well-Lit, Perfectly Spaced-Out T9 Memory Feature (aside the "of" "me" dilemma) Photo, Video, Music DJ (Enjoyable and User-Friendly) Themes: Colourful and Distinguished E-mail via Mobile (Feature) Video-Calling Microphone Captures Nearly Crisp Sound D-Pad Easy to Navigate Cancel to Delete (Simplicity) Cons: Screen Easily Scratched Facebook App. (Non-Functional) Back Cover (Crooked and Loose-Like) Charger/Headphone Port (Fragility and Rarity) Zoom Only With VGA Camera (Cannot Zoom Above 0.3 MP) This is the first phone to introduce me to the fact that you don't have to sacrifice any features for a low-priced phone. I haven't mentioned about the lack of a touch screen because Sony makes it up, by easy to navigate features e.g. New Window, D-Pad, T-9 Keyboard, Cancel to Delete, 3.5G, and the Quick Response. With these features it definitely beats the popularly styled, and non-repairable companies like LG, and Samsung. I would recommend this to anybody who wants an above user-friendly phone. Thank-you for taking the time to read my review. Less

Good Phone

I like this phone. I already scratched the screen but that's because I accidentally took off the screen protector. If you're okay with no QWERTY keyboard, then this phone is good for texting. The buttons are spaced out perfectly. I don't like the ringtones it has. But you can create your own with a Music DJ. Which is pretty cool. It doesn't have the best sturdiness but it's still okay if you don't go crazy with it. The camera is good. The phone has this cool texting feature so when someone texts you it shows the entire conversation with that person without having to go through the messages one by one. Less

Pretty Good - Worth Trying Out

Initial Thoughts: Very stylish and compact. Cons: Does not feel very sturdy, the 4 directional button feel very "flimsy". Whenever I press it, I can hear squeeking sounds. The battery cover was poorly designed, I had a very difficult time trying to take off and put back the battery cover on. Overall I would rate the phone 7.5. Pretty decent for a mid-range SE phone. If you don't want a smart phone, this is the next best thing. Less

decent

Not a bad li'l phone. Could be better but not bad at all. I would recomend this phone to anyone not wanting a smart phone but a phone that can still browse and do other smart phone like things. really good 3G browsing. i like it.

dont buy this phone.its waste.

|This phone is having very good problem of low music volume for the headphone. camera and video options is good. But battery is low and the headphones which came with the phone is very low quality. As we know that sony ericsson phones have good sound reception of themp3 files playing. this one doesnt seem to be good.
