Even though the sidekick 3 is now one of the older sidekick models (the newest are the lx, slide, and sidekick 08') I figured I'd give my opinion on this one because I still own it myself, and I figure there are probably still a few people out there who would like to purchase one. Ok so like I've said, I both love and hate this phone. I've had it for a little over a year now, and I have had to replace it once because it kept on shutting on and off multiple times by itself throughout the day. But I no longer have that problem anymore now that T-Mobile sent me a new one. Another problem I keep having with the phone is that I have a hard time getting it to charge (after I put the charger in the charge port I have to move it around in order to get it to charge) I've had this problem before and after getting the phone replaced, which means that it probably has something to do with the battery so hopefully none of you will have this problem. Some other things I don't like is the camera is not the greatest, but every once in a while I get some pretty decent pictures. I also don't like the fact you can't send or receive pictures, unless you do it through the email service. Another thing I don't like is the fact that phone doesn't automatically come with an alarm clock, you have to purchase it from the catalogue (truthfully I rarely use an alarm clock, but it still would've come in handy for when I do!) And speaking of the catalogue, I'm also not to pleased with the ringtone selections (I mean I found a few good ones, but still) and the high price for the ringtones, games, applications....etc. It also sucks because you can't download any songs to use as a ringtone from any websites like on some phones. But still, those are minor things, so don't let that stop you from purchasing the phone! Okay, now for the things I love. I love the phones physical appearance. In my opinion, its the nicest sidekick model so far. Ill admit I love the bigger screen on the Sidekick LX, and yes the Sidekick 3 is a bit more bulky than the LX, but I still think its nicer as far as colors and everything. I also love the way the screen moves and closes (isn't this what most people love about the sidekicks? Lol) and of course I love the fact that the sidekick has a keyboard. That's probably my favorite feature of the phone because I'm a texting addict, so I love using the keyboard to text. So if you text a lot, this is definitely a great phone for you. Other great things about the phone- the web service, (which I think is pretty decent as far as speed, depending on which website you are on), the MP3 player, (I don't use it because I have an ipod but its still a cool feature if you don't have a seperate music player), email service, (aka T-mail) and AIM/MSN/Yahoo capability for those of you who love instant messaging. And one last note if you do decide to buy this sidekick, or any of the other sidekicks with the downloadable myspace application BEWARE: when I first downloaded the application it was great but after a few weeks of having it I was no longer able to view any of the bulletins. I even tried deleting it and re-downloading it but nothing worked. My friend, who has the sidekick LX was also having this problem. Not take in to consideration that this was a few months ago and I haven't tried using it again since (I didn't feel like putting out money to buy it for a third time) so I'm guessing that they probably fixed this problem. But I just thought I'd warn you ahead of time! Less

I really like this phone. The only thing I don't like is that I can't send or recieve picture text to another phone. If I can, will someone let me know.

I've had my phone for almost 2 years now in June. The phone was great at first but then started freezing up, and of course T-Mobile has no idea what's wrong, so they send me out a second phone. The second phone's battery completely died and they tried charging me $70 for a new one! I took it to the store and they said it was actually the plug in on the phone, so they tell me to send my whole phone in, while I had to wait 2 weeks without a phone because they couldn't even get me a loner one. Then they send me a refurbished piece of junk that did not work again, I am on my 4th sidekick and it still freezes up. They won't let me upgrade sooner for a better price, so I'm screwed with it. Good part is the keyboard, that's it! very difficult to flip open to dial a phone number in case of emergency. I've needed it many times and while driving, it is very difficult! Save your money, don't buy it! Go with the CURVE INSTEAD, OR GO TO VERIZON! Less

I bought the phone and loved it for about 3 months and then i droped it once. then everything started to go wrong. the screen would go blanc randomly, it would constantly go backwards through apps, before i got rid of it i couldnt even answer calls. This though is not a one time deal though. Many other people suffered the same fate and that is why the new sidekick x or something has a completely new system outlay. Be smart and by the new verson or switch to verizon because the envy phone(when i had it before tmobil) was able to take a 200 lb door slaming on it and still working perfectly! MINUS FIVE STARS!

This is the worst phone I've ever used in my life! The signal in the sidekick is very low, when I got out of the subway I need to wait like 5 minutes for the phone to find the network again. The battery doesn't last what you expect a phone battery should lasts. It has some problems reading the SIM card everyonce in a while and needs to be restarted when you should be talking. my suggestion: DON'T BUY IT! Less

The pics come out ok, depends on lighting etc. It can be improved, but I like it overall. Hardly use the phone, sometimes there is an echo. I waited to get it when the price was lower, not worth 400 bucks tho. Its so easy to use if you know how to read and explore. Less
