Came as an insurance replacement for a damaged Motorola Razr V4. Does not begin to compare. Battery life and reception is half of what the V4 had. Garbage ringtones - unless you want to pay $$$ for other garbage ringtones. Proprietary chargers and data cables are impossible to find anywhere and this leaves all of my Razr's USB mini chargers useless. Difficult to transfer photos. Had to lock out external buttons - they activate constantly in my pocket or in my case - with music playing at odd hours. Speakerphone volume was weak. Bluetooth connections are random at best - connecting and disconnecting when it feels like. Disconnecting sometimes turns phone off - with no warning - leaving me with the phone off for hours until I notice it is off. This was a big disappointment, considering what I paid for Bell's insurance program (SCAM - stay away!!!), and got this garbage phone as a replacement for a super RazrV4. Would not buy another Samsung. Less

Nice design but too many issues with the software. Less

junk...

VERY unreliable!! Two tin cans and a piece of string is better than this phone. Had it for 6 months, sent it back to "get repaired" 4 times! Meh Worthy

Not orginally my phone, was my dads, he used for 2 years, little to no problems when my Instinct croaked on me I nicked this, as dad rarely used it, Its a fine, moderate phone. Makes me wish for my old a920 though, as this things lack of a headphone jack is pissing me off.

Bluetooth Compatibility - 2008 Jeep Liberty & 2010 Equinox

My cell phone works well for outgoing calls, but I cannot accept incoming calls through either vehicle. Has anyone else experienced this? Does the Samsung M530 actually work both ways on anybody's vehicle? Bell has sold me a phone on the premise that it is bluetooth compatible, but I'm finding that...More

Does the Samsung M530 actually work both ways on anybody's vehicle? Bell has sold me a phone on the premise that it is bluetooth compatible, but I'm finding that is only partly true. Any suggestions? Other phones work fine on both of our vehicles. Less

I have tryed everyhting to try and get rid of this peice of crap phone. I also know a friend from work who HAD the same phone ad had the same problems. Where do I begin. Phone bill is over the top for features I don't even use. I went into Bell to see If I could lower my limit ($100) and they said that no matter what I do, my phone bill will still be high. i don't understand. I rarely use the thing. I know people that have phones from bell that only have 40$ basic phones. Since day my phone has been freezing, shutting off while going on the internet. When I would be reading a txt msg, and someone else sent me a txt, my phone would freeze and turn off. I have had my phone for almost two years. I went into bell several times to see what they could do. Apparently i am suppose to have some credits because my 3 yr contract is over half done. YUP.. no credits at all. The guy at the store didn't uderstand why. Im so fed up. i cannot wait for my contract to be over so I can switch over to rogers. My parents are with bell and they have had no problems at all, but after the customer service that I have recieved with this phone.. screw it! Im done with them. Less

It was a good one, once!

Got it with a Bell package in 2008. No problems until 2010 when I changed the interface from Bell to Samsung. Then the cold set in; yes, freezing on the Olympic logo. Took the battery out a hundred times. No help. Took it to Bell Aliant; they sent it in to a phone fixer and they said the main board nee...More
Got it with a Bell package in 2008. No problems until 2010 when I changed the interface from Bell to Samsung. Then the cold set in; yes, freezing on the Olympic logo. Took the battery out a hundred times. No help. Took it to Bell Aliant; they sent it in to a phone fixer and they said the main board needs replacing. What? All I did was change the interface. No water, no falls from great heights. Simply a software change within the phone and it fried the board. And, since it's off the year warranty, now it's up to me to pay the $100 to fix it. Yes, I still think it is a good phone, but, after reading all the other reviews concerning software problems, where is Samsung to back up it's product? Less
