And the only problem I have had is the battery cover coming off occasionally causing the phone to turn off, as I have dropped the phone onto hard surfaces on many occasions. Also, the small strip of plastic at the top of the phone broke off and was lost. A minor issue due to user clumsiness. Texting is great if your thumbs are not too big. The slider is easy enough, though could probably jam if a lot of debris was lodged into the track. I love the mp3 playback application and use it all the time, no need for a separate mp3 player. Calling, which is really secondary for my use has been fine, connection is fine. The camera is adequate and is protected when the phone is closed. The video capture works fine too. Employing the microSD for mp3 or images is very easy. Battery life is good, using the mp3 player will drain it much quicker of course. No complaints about this phone. I was going to replace it because I needed a phone that could use GSM frequencies for Europe, until I discovered that this phone can use GSM. So I will just use some glue or tape for the battery cover and keep using it as long as it lives. Less

worked fabulous for the 9 months, absolultely loved it. Then completely dead, replaced the battery had it looked at... nothing ... the phone simply stopped working

I tend to go through phones like nobody's business just from the basic wear and tear that they undergo on a day-to-day basis. This phone not only lasted me almost two years with absolutely no problems due to malfunctions, reception, or dropped calls, but it also had the best battery life I've ever experienced with a phone (sometimes lasting through four or five days of constant use without having to charge). It was simple to navigate, a sleek design, not overly expensive and the mp3 function was easy to setup and use on both my mac and my pc. It wasn't until recently when I dropped it in a lake that it stopped working for me, but now after reading reviews on many different phones I've decided that I can't go out on a limb here; I'm going to purchase the A736 a second time. Love It!!

I've had this phone since Dec.08 and have never had any problems with it. The camera works great. It even includes the full version of Wheel of Fortune to play when you're bored.
