What the Critics Are Saying...

AndroidPIT

The OnePlus 7T Pro is a marginal upgrade on the regular 7 Pro that will not entice current owners to upgrade. Rather, this is a smartphone that expands the company's range of smartphones, something that every OEM seems keen to do. Unlike the 7T, which represents a sizable upgrade to the regular OneP...

The OnePlus 7T Pro boasts an excellent 90Hz display, a powerful chipset capable of a high-end gaming experience and a great triple-camera setup that performs well in most conditions. But, with such a similar offering to the cheaper OnePlus 7T, the 7T Pro is amongst the best smartphones that we can't...

If you still have a OnePlus 5 or 6T and are looking for an update and have Rs 53,999 to shell out, I would say get the OnePlus 7T Pro. I think it’s an excellent choice. You are getting a phone that has the best specs and possibly a great camera.

Looking at the OnePlus 7T Pro, we can't help but feel as though OnePlus was obligated to refresh the OnePlus 7 Pro, just so it wouldn't look old and irrelevant now that we have the OnePlus 7T. Looking at the OnePlus 7T Pro, we can't help but feel as though OnePlus was obligated to refresh the OnePlus 7 Pro, just so it wouldn't look old and irrelevant now that we have the OnePlus 7T. We would have liked to have seen more meaningful upgrades, like the OnePlus 7T received, but this isn't the case with the OnePlus 7T Pro. There isn't much differentiation between the two product tiers anymore, apart from the higher-resolution curved display and the pop-up camera on the more expensive model.

An overpriced upgrade

Overall, the cameras on the OnePlus 7T Pro are excellent and that goes for the phone as a whole. It’s very fast and responsive; it looks the part; it’s aimed beautifully; battery life is fine; and that 90Hz screen is an absolute dream. In many ways, the OnePlus 7T Pro is a great phone. It delivers more cameras and more screen for your money than the iPhone 11, and there aren’t as many flaws with it as the regular OnePlus 7T.

You need to decide whether the beauty is worth paying extra for. The shallow side of me says it is, and the 7T Pro is absolutely the phone I want to get out of my pocket among friends, but that doesn’t make it a very shrewd purchase.

However, we're not sure it's completely necessary and think it perhaps overcomplicates OnePlus smartphone lineup for the sake of a slightly faster CPU and, er, a new colour option.

Fantastic but unnecessary

OnePlus 7T Pro is a fantastic phone in most departments, just as the OnePlus 7 Pro is. And that's its biggest problem: it doesn't offer anything over what the 7 Pro can do, and so feels a little like a pointless update and maybe a kick in the teeth for those who bought the 7 Pro in the months leading up to its launch.
