THE BAD: The Motorola Slvr L7c has a low-grade VGA camera and a low-resolution display. The memory card slot is in a poor location, and the phones EV-DO performance was a tad slow. THE BOTTOM LINE: The Motorola Slvr L7c for Sprint is a more powerful alternative to the GSM Slvr L7, but it comes with some minor design differences.

I would not recomend you spend your money on this phone unless you have money to waste!!!! Less

I bought this phone from Verizon's website a few months back. I wouldn't waste your time with this phone, after a few months you will want to throw it away. Although it was amazing at first... Here is what annoyed me most- 1. Verizon's Software is slow and sluggish. There is a 2 second delay every time you try to do something. 2. The keys are really small. It is impossible to type anything on this thing, I have trouble texting and even dialing.(I have small fingers). 3. "Verizon Theme" is very boring. There is no way to spice it up, the red bars only look good with some red background. 4. The Battery doesn't last. The battery won't last longer than two days if you text and call at a normal rate. 5. Bad Reception. Everybody else in my family (all Verizon) always has service in our house, I only get service holding the phone up high near a window. 6. Talk Quality- It sounds like you are calling next to an airplane. You literaly could not hear a word a person says if there is any other type of noise around them. The microphone is always obsured by either your fingers or your cheek. This phone is poor as a phone, a text messaging device, and as a mobile device overall. However some of the posotives are the music player, the microSD Card slot(behind the battery of course!), and the speakerphone volume. Don't wast your time, by a Chocolate or a RAZR, you will have a much better overall expierience. I am locked in for another Year and a half with this phone! Less

Con: SD card slot is behind the battery, which is weird, and the microphone is on the side of the phone instead of the usual bottom location, which is also weird and annoying when people can't hear you clearly. Also, the main keys are a little to small, which will be harder for grown men wirh huge thumbs when they try to text with itap. The camera could have had a better resolution as well. Using experience: 50 days This phone is VERY stylish with cutting-edge features, but falls a tad short due to convenience. This phone might not be best for people who text on the daily, but what more could you want from a phone that also has web/e-mail/instant messaging capability? Basically, it's an improved razr, candy bar style. Less

Very Sturdy Slvr

I would recommend the slvr to anyone who wants a sturdy, dependable phone. Less

I bought the Slvr L7c because it was a gotta-have-it phone. I had loved my Alltel Razr v3m to death, and thought I would like this one even better. I was wrong. Sure it gets great reception and the calls you make are clear as a bell. Who cares when the person you're talking to can't hear a word you're saying through the microphone that's so conveniently shoved into your cheek?! Poor microphone placement cripples an otherwise pretty decent phone. My other beef with it was the fact that the number 5 is raised above the others (never understood the why of it), and I had to turn off speed dial because I kept calling my sister-in-law inadvertently. Even in a loose purse pocket, the button got pressed very easily. Less

I've never liked Motorola cell phones, but for Verizon this was the slimmest "candy bar" style phone they had. My first choice would've been Samsung's Wafer but Verizon doesn't carry it. The LG Chocolates were too bulky. Anyway, the SLVR did not impress. First off, it's sloooooooooow, the software is really sluggish. One of my pet peeves was the themes selection, very few and very boring, the standard Verizon theme that I've come to dislike, red and dull (I just switched from Sprint where their phones weren't restricted in their software). Second, the keypad was difficult to see day or night, lit or unlit. The mic thing, having it on the side instead of the middle, that's just annoying. If you're holding the phone between your right ear and your shoulder to free up your hands, your cheek/jaw will cover and muffle the mic. It's also not compatible with some of Verizon's premium services/plans so check first. It did pair with my Acura's handsfree bluetooth system okay after a couple of try's. Otherwise a very run of the mill phone. I exchanged it and went back to my old standby, Samsung (a SCH U740 this time), they just make better phones, in my opinion. Pro's: slim profile cool look Con's: awkward keypad horrible camera annoyingly placed mic slow software Less
