The "1-Minute" Review
The KRZR K1M is the RAZR’s better-looking sister. Looking more like a fashion accessory than a piece of technology, the K1M is an attractive iteration in the firmly established RAZR franchise.
The K1M is a CDMA phone (Sprint, Verizon, Bell, Telus, etc.) that runs on the high-speed EVDO network, provides a WAP browser which, combined with its 176x220 pixel internal display, creates a passable internet experience, and rounds out its feature set with 64MB of onboard flash memory, expandable microSD memory slot and a mini USB port for PC syncing. It also includes illuminated external MP3 controls and a phonebook that can store up to 1,000 contacts. The K1M provides a variety of ways to customize the look and sound of your device. This clamshell also features a 96x80 pixel external display, useful for checking the time.
One interesting improvement over prior versions is the keypad. Although it looks similar to the RAZR keypad, it actually uses a technology called electroforatic deposition, a fancy phrase that means the keys are soft to the touch, with an almost rubbery feel.
If you are a fan of shiny phones, you will definitely enjoy the look and feel of the Motorola KRZR K1M. Good sound quality for phone calls and a competent MP3 player makes this flip worth a look.
