GSMArena

Beauty that is skin deep

from GSMArena
At first glance, there is a lot to like about the Q6. The design, largely carried over from the G6, looks great and feels absolutely perfect in hand. The display is also very good and looks like it goes almost edge to edge on every side. Simply having this aspect ratio with those curved corners in this price range itself is very unique. And the software too, for most parts, works quite well... Full review

Budget beauty

from Android Authority
While its 18:9 display and near bezel-less build is impressive, the Q6 is tough to recommend over competing options. The lack of a fingerprint reader, unimpressive cameras, and other minor issues are difficult to overcome even at this price... Full review
The Indian Express

Full vision display at a budget pricing

from The Indian Express
The highlight of the LG Q6 is the display and the design. But as I said the specifications, including the Qualcomm 435 processor, battery life, make this appear to be a more expensive proposition for most people. If you want a more compact phone with a unique display, then the LG Q6 is an option to consider. However, those looking for a blazing performance or a great camera at this budget should probably examine options in the market... Full review
The Mobile Indian

Futuristic concept, not-so-futuristic implementation

from The Mobile Indian
The LG Q6 comes with a surprisingly compact form factor and the FullVision display does almost do a decent job. However, other than this, the overall performance of the smartphone is not matchable with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Moto G5 Plus, Honor 6X and more, as each of one of them comes loaded with better hardware arsenal and have proved their mettle in the market... Fone Arena

Full vision display at a considerable price point

from Fone Arena
LG Q6 is an above average device packing nothing special in it if not for FullVision display. With Q6, LG has tried too hard to make a dent in the mid-range market but failed... Full review
NDTV

A good buy if you prioritise looks above all else

from NDTV
The 18:9 screen aspect ratio is sure to become popular in the smartphone world, and the LG Q6 looks futuristic despite its value pricing, which could be a major selling point. Even a few of years down the line, the Q6 should still look modern. It isn't the most powerful smartphone in its class so if brute force is what you’re looking for, then you’d be better served by the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Honor 6X or even the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime... PhoneArena

Feels a bit underpowered

from PhoneArena
At the end of the day, the LG Q6 is a unique phone: it’s the only affordable phone with a bezel-less screen. That is a game-changer and it’s an important feature, but it’s not the only feature that matters... Full review
Notebookcheck

Struggles hard in its price range

from Notebookcheck
LG trimmed the performance of the Q6 a little too much and the price tag a little too little. The LG Q6´s price tag competes with devices that have more performance and more battery life – two important factors to a potential customer. There are other areas, too, where the LG Q6 just can´t keep up: the speakers are below average, the Wi-Fi module is rather slow, and the equipment is just okay... Full review
Digit

Best looking budget smartphone in recent time

from Digit
I am happy that LG finally took it upon itself to change how budget segment smartphones should look. The Q6 now sets the precedent for how a sub-15K smartphone or anything around this price should be designed. At the same time, I am somewhat disappointed that the performance of the Q6 is somewhat disappointing and sub-par compared to our recommended choices. The phones especially lacks the gaming prowess we have now accustomed ourselves to in the sub-15K smartphone category... Full review
