The WORST phone I have ever owned

this phone starts off good enough, then after a couple of months it starts turning itself off at random times for no reason. Koodo has replaced it twice, and the problem has re-occurred with the replacements. seeing as I need my phone for work, it was well cared for and not abused. once it starts this behavior, it occurs with greater and greater frequency until the phone is virtually useless. Stay away from this POS. It's not worth the headache. And thanks to this phone. LG can look forward to my buying almost ANY other brand but theirs, In fact, I may well never buy anything they make again. Less

Manual

I think if you look right you will see a download? Maybe it's just me...but I think this is the manual?

Yes, the manual can be found on the right hand side of this page.

What good is a phone with no manual

For 2 years i keeping banging my head to get a manual. in less you are real smart, and figure out this piece of crap, don~t buy, ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun. You have been warned. they will give the run around for a manual, when the dust settles, you still won`t have any manual.

Absolute waste of labour !! Thanks a lot LG!

I can give you all a thorough review of the absolute worst phone I have ever owned! This piece of junk, a total waste of labour on LG's part, is not worth being the prize from Kinder Surprise or Cracker Jacks, ( remember those? ). I have owned this phone now for coming up 2 years. I have sent it in twice for the following reasons: 1, Dropped Calls, I dial the number, push send and wait. When it is apparent that it is not connecting, I look at the screen and it has gone back to home screen. 2, Emergency calls only, happens too often and for no reason. Turn phone right off and then on again and I'm good to go, usually. 3, The MOST FRUSTRATING AND COMMON PROBLEM, ... the phone resets itself, telling me a new sim card has been inserted! I have never done this!! This phone is possessed!! This is important as when this happens, I loose all text messages and alarms!! I have slept in on a workday and lost history on some very important text conversations involving family because of this!! 4, the manual given with the phone is absolute crap! Tiny print, and written by some kid out of highschool who isn't good at spanning the generation gaps to make communication easy for all to understand. This manual is a 2-sided piece of friggin' newsprint, whereas my previous LG phone, had a booklet, very well laid out and sections color-coded for easy access to certain topics! This one-page wonder they give you with this phone, leaves out so much important content, it just leaves you asking more questions! I have owned 3 LG phones now and the other 2 were great! This one however, is the model you see for sale at London Drugs and several other electronic/cell phone suppliers for sometimes as low as $29.00! There's a reason for everything!! You get what you pay for, right?? Thank you. Less

Wow! I have had all of those exact same issues. This phone is junk. I'm going to upgrade today.

i want to transfer photos from internal memory on my phone to my computer'

Well, since I registered my complaint, it has taken quite a few phone calls and bantering back n forth but , LG Canada has replaced my phone, past the warranty deadline. I believe it is a 'dud' phone for sure. However, don't be fooled into upgrading at a cost. If you would like the phone if it worked ok, go through the motions and fight the fight. It will take some doing but that's how we win, right? I wonder sometimes if they purposely put out phones like this to get you to upgrade in the first place. It's not that far-fetched really. In any case, at this point LG has come through. I have the same model I had, but that's all I wanted, ... just one that works! Time will tell how this one does but, at least they finally got it. I might add they sent it by Purolator, with a return bill prepaid by LG, for me to send them back my old one, so not bad. We will see if this 'refurbished' one does the trick. Thanks for your feedback out there. Voices always help so keep speaking out and up for yourselves! :-) Cheers!

Not as bad as some say...

I don't know how "tech savy" some people are but this phone is pretty easy to figure out. It does vibrate, the manual DOES tell you how to activate speaker. The only issue was finding a menu called ringtone, but then I found out I can go to my personal sounds & assign ANY mp3 as a ringtone, startup, shutdown, contact ring ect!! Exactly what I wanted, to make my OWN ringtones. Not many phones out there that let you do that anymore. Best of all the phone was $25, and with prepaid I spend way less than I did with Koodo & I get Call display, Voicemail & call waiting, something I didn't get with anyone else. All for $10 a month. Cool, thanks for the great review! I admit people are a bit irate about this phone, but it seems to be exactly what I'm looking for. (I not into the "smart" phones). Simple phone, built in mp3 player, 4GB microSD expandable. Again thanks for the review I will be buying this phone today!

I've had two of these phones. I bought, the second was a warranty replacement of it If you like a phone that starts randomly shutting off a few months after you buy it, by all means, buy this POS. And yes, the replacement phone is repeating it's predecessor's behaviour. I'll never buy another LG phone again.

Piece of junk

Manual/user guide is useless. Speaker phone using centre button is unreliable & earpiece control fiddly & useless. 100 ways to get to multi tasks but not basic tasks. I will never buy another Telus anything. My 2 very old Telus phones were at least functional. (one got flushed, one had dead & unreplac...More

I will never buy another Telus anything. My 2 very old Telus phones were at least functional. (one got flushed, one had dead & unreplaceable battery) This is junk. Did I say, yes, the manual sucks. I've had this 2 months. How do I get my money back? Less

At the most you got to see a manual, i`ve had my phone 7 months, and can not get any information, so i can say this phone is useless, and probale never had a manual made for it. never will buy a LG again. What good is a phone with no manual

This phone is dangerous,

When my battery was low, no warning whatsoever, it emitted a high pitched squealing sound than sent a shock down my arm, into my heart and deafened me for 30 minutes, could not hear anything. The phone has done this twice, very dangerous, pain in my shoulder and in my heart. Still have an ache in my...More

This phone does not deliver on its indended market.

This is the phone Telus gives you when all you want is a cell phone. The guys that design these phones just dont get it. They think you want all this other crap. This is the phone Telus gives you when all you want is a cell phone. The guys that design these phones just dont get it. They think you want all this other crap. If I wanted all this other crap ie online games, multimedia, etc. then I wouldn't have gotten this phone. The menus are convoluted, complicated and non intuitive. To get to a contact list something you use all of the time. 1) flip open the phone. 2) press the large button in the center. 3) either press 8 or scroll down and press the large button in the center. 4) you're not there yet, scroll down to press large center button and scroll to the contact you want. 5 press the large center button to make the call. You will never figure out how to change your ringtone on your own, and the manual that it comes with doesn't give you the info. You need to search for it online. I think there is a large market out there, and I will say it mostly older people, and all they want is a cell phone, and this phone does not deliver on that promise. My dad who is 86 years old will never in a million years get to his contact list. Less

Hi. Luke_29272 . If you press the DOWN arrow, on the menu keypad, you will get your contact list. For ringtones, press the "big center button" >my stuff>my sounds>default ringtones.
