The Pure is best suited for users who don’t mind the smaller 3.2” display and less obtrusive look in the pockets when carrying it around.

Doesn’t come up with anything out of the ordinary in terms of functionality

from PhoneArena

AT&T did miss out on getting some kind of variant of the original HTC Diamond, but we consider the HTC Pure as a decent offering for AT&T’s smartphone lineup. If you’re in the market for a Windows Mobile handset, we’d recommend the HTC Imagio as a better option – especially for those who would enjoy a bigger screen. We’d even go out on a limb and say that the HTC Tilt 2 is a far better option for AT&T business customers with its larger screen and physical keyboard. On the other hand, the Pure is best suited for users who don’t mind the smaller 3.2” display and less obtrusive look in the pockets when carrying it around. Alas, the HTC Pure doesn’t come out of the gates trying to stand out among the crop – it just stays pure and doesn’t come up with anything out of the ordinary in terms of functionality....

The HTC Pure from AT&T is one of the first phones on the market with Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional, though it also happens to be blessed with HTC's awesome TouchFLO 3D user interface. While it is built solid, the high-gloss plastic used on the Pure is a definite fingerprint magnet, which will likely annoy most of you as much as it did us. The WVGA (800 x 480 pixel) resolution display is really nice and responsive, though the media playback features are incredibly lacking, sadly. We were quite taken with the 5 megapixel autofocus camera's results, and really enjoyed being able to touch the screen to determine where the camera is focused. The lack of a dedicated camera key or flash, though, is a bit disappointing. That being said, the HTC Pure has a great battery life, awesome support for email, SMS, and MMS, and two great web browsers built-in. We at MobileBurn.com give this phone a 'Recommended' rating, as it does what it says it will quite nicely.
