Toughest Phone I've ever owned

I had to write this in addition to the comment posted by serge. I had my 7250 for 5 years, Finally had to let it go today. Still works for me to get me by, but the scroll wheel 'button' is broken. I had to write this in addition to the comment posted by serge. I had my 7250 for 5 years, Finally had to let it go today. Still works for me to get me by, but the scroll wheel 'button' is broken. I've dropped this thing, Frozen it, left it in the rain, watched it slide across pavement at 20mph... The large buttons are the BEST. I have been looking at new phones for 2 days and can't stand how small all the buttons are. I email alot on my BB and can't do without the 7250 size. I am buying another used or refurbished 7250, or similar on the bay tonight!!! Fast enough, Awesome reception, and TOUGH AS NAILS Less

A beast!

Had this phone for 4 years now so this review is probably of little help to anyone buying the new fangled versions but this review will last as a testament to the build quality of this phone. Dropped probably 100 times over its life, cracks all over the body, chunks of plastic missing from the corners and ends, display still intact, phone still working like the day it was first turned on. Period. Another story from my co-worker, dropped in snow, it was recovered the day after and was still working. Awesome durability. Less

Not good,... Bad

Cons: It looks like a calculator. It is extremely large and very thick. It's hideous. The keyboard locking system is bad. It takes to many steps to unlock. The scroll wheel on the side is the worst idea ever. The menu icons are stupid. The battery life is ok. There is no picture/video camera. It cannot hold music. Pros: The keyboard is good.

Pro: Very easy to navigate using scroll wheel/button. Display very bright and clear. Fairly long battery life. Good email function. Con: Phone dialing difficult to navigate. Phone funtion hard to hear, and weak micropohone portion. Included software incompatible with my calendaring. Using experience: 8 months Overall I am fairly neutral on the Blackberry. The scroll wheel allows for easy navigation, and the variety of available applications is fantastic. I was especially pleased with the email function. Worked seemlessly even without the benefit of a Blackberry Enterprise server at my work. Simply used the web version of the blackberry client. The phone function on the other hand left something to be desired. Phone book is difficult to navigate and somewhat counterintuitive in the buttons used to dial and/or save a number. I also found the small keys very difficult to use, especially in regards to the shift fuunction. It is also sometimes difficult to reboot the system if the battery dies, even after recharging. It sometimes requires removal and reseating of the battery. Overall again, I am fairly neutral, but would not recommend. Less

Great PDA phone

Great screen, great software, especially when you learn some of the shortcuts and keystroke combinations. If this had GPS. . .

solid reception and crack keyboard

this is a fresh buy for me but so far i am very pleased. the reception is very good, likely thanks to the cdma chip. i really think this technology is better then gsm. of course, if you need constant contact via email, you can't beat blackberry's keyboard. not too small, not too big - it's easy to keep...More
this is a fresh buy for me but so far i am very pleased. the reception is very good, likely thanks to the cdma chip. i really think this technology is better then gsm. of course, if you need constant contact via email, you can't beat blackberry's keyboard. not too small, not too big - it's easy to keep in touch with the crackberry. the stub antenna is kind of a bummer but if it helps reception then i can live with it.. also, i find that the screen is really tough to see in the direct sun light. but, then again, what phone doesn't have that problem? For business users i highly recommend the Black Berry 7250! Less

Not woth the money.

Don't buy this phone. It's not worth the money.

Quite amazing

Very impressed with the phone. Have been having reception issues out in the Abbotsford area, but phone seems to hold on to reception quick well. Synchronizing with Outlook - no problem. Have all my contacts, appointments and emails on the go. Keyboard is great. After a while you get used to it and learn all the little tricks on the handset. On the Telus network and couldn''t be happier. Had issues with Rogers, would not go back. Get ready for EVDO, because these devices are ready for them. Faster and better. Overall - very happy with the phones. Plus my rep was great, helped me set up email accounts and showed me a few things more. Less
