I owned this neat phone for over four years and got the best service from it. The call recetion was great, keypad easity to use and small enough to fit in my pocket. Although the features were basic, the durability and service was excellent. The only problem I experienced with this little phone was it had a plastic antenna which can be bent if one isn't careful to push it back after a call. After using it for four years, I finally got a new cell phone and I gave my trusty Audiovox 8200 to a friend who got an additional two extra years from it and it finally gave up the ghost. The audiovox 8200 was the best phone I ever used to date! Less

The AudioVox 8200 is a pretty good basic, down-to-earth cell phone, that has a little bit of features to go along with it. (Sto[ watch, the ever confusing biorhythm, etc.) The problem with mine though, is that sometimes the keypad stops working all of a sudden. The power key will wotk to turn it on, but nothing works after that and I must pull the battery out to turn it off. (The past few weeks I haven't had this problem though.) There is not enough battery life either, having the battery only lasting a day or two between charges. (This could be the ageing, though.) So if you want a phone that is small, gets good signal, but don't need to depend on it a lot, the audiovox 8200 might be the phone for you! Less

This phone is really a great phone for someone who is starting out w/ their wireless service for the first time. It has the main features that you need w/ a little bit extra too. It has great reception, easy to understand and navigate menu options, is very small (so it doesn''t take up too much room), and mine had a couple different screen-savers. However, again, basic phone. No different backdrops for the phone, ugly green back-light that reminds you of the phones from the early 90''s, no "entertaining" features like games (there was that biorhythm thing but that made NO sense and was redundant to have on the phone), and although the phone is compact, it sometimes makes the screen hard to read. So, overall, I would recommend this phone as a backup phone or a prepaid phone but not as the phone I would primarily use. At least, not anymore. Less

Good all around phone

I''ve had this small, cute phone for two and ahalf years. The battery needs recharging every other day (I let it recharge over night). Good reception, good basic features. The phone tends to heat up during longer conversations, which causes me to worry... Don''t understand why there is a Biorythm do-dad on it - sort of useless function...

I've had this phone for over a year now. It's a really basic phone with a neat look. It had really good reception at the begining too, and the battery life was OK. But recently I've been experiencing some difficulties with the phone as it gives me no reception in most places(in the house, downtown, at school...) 90% of the time basically, not to mention that the only time it gives decent reception is when you're driving :S and then again it keeps cutting out after a few minutes and the battery only lasts for a few hours. I took the phone to Bell, and they told me that the problem was the motherboard and they offered to replace it at the cost of the cell phone:S ... so I went ahead and took it to the local cell phone repair shop. I've been in and out the place a few times so far, where they replaced the antenna and some related components; but it's still the same :S! So I'm thinking about replacing my phone with a Nokia or a Samsung. So, if You are going on a 1-year contract, this is a good phone to get, but I recommend a trip ro Home Depot for a hammer, so once your contract's over you can smash it :D ! Less

neat and tidy

This phone is neat and small. It fits well in small pockets. The sound quality is great and I have had no problems with it
