How can you disable Car Kit Mode on the LG 6200?

The cellphone does not work, I can make calls out and no one hears me, I called Bell Mobility and they said to go into menu and the setting and then set up and change car kit mode to disabled. It is not even there. Anyone know how to do this
thanks

Followed what angel said, worked awesome, there was a bunch of lint and crap in the charger slot. Cleaned it and "car kit" went away, phone works fine....thx!

Hey Thanks, it worked for me. I had to use aluminum foil folded several times and the width of the slot a little jiggle and it started to toggle off and and back on again when I removed the foil. So I took it apart and washed the main circuit board inside with MG Chemical Safety wash. I then put it back together and did the foil trick and presto the" Car kit" was gone.

OH my goodness!!!!!! Thank you SO much angel!!!

My daughter got my phone today and I went to set the alarm but no sound, and carkit was on the screen.

I read this and used that ring on the top of a popcan LOL! touched the metal and voila! Carkit went away and my sound is working.

Thank you SOOO much!!

Actually I have done this too, while updating a phone using a different type of charging device car kit disappeared and the phone worked fine after that, BUT the customer came back into my store a week later and the phone was dead so its either a win win situation or a win lose situation.

ok i read this sumwhere else do not buy a new phone till u try this cause i just did this two seconds ago and it actually worked, shock!!! if u think about it it really makes no sense that ur phone would say car kit mode anyway when it gets wet, my phone didnt even get wet so i was like wtf and went online and found an article about this guy who short circuited the connection between his phone and an actual car kit (yes u can buy car kits and ur phone will go into car kit mode when u buy said car kits and connect them to them) so what i did (what he said to do lol) is stick sumthing metal, i used a letter opener on ur cell where the charger is sapose to go (if u use a cradle and u have two places the prongs go in u may have to touch both with the metal), i felt a slight megnetic pull, be very gental so u dont ruin anything. its still working now and ive been typing a while, its worth a shot :D car kit disapeared immediately after i did this. oh oh i just read tin foil can also be used in another forum so clearly this has worked for others

Yea it sounds like you have some kind of physical or liquid damage that has corrupted the phone. There is no fix for this so it would be cheaper for you to get a new phone instead of getting it sent out to be looked at. I work for Telus Mobility and I see this all the time and it's LG's way of telling the service provider something has corrupted the main board on your phone because your right, LG has no car kit option built into the older phones from 2005 and back.

A way to tell if your phone has liquid damage is to take the battery out and look to see if you have a pink dot on your phone, if you see this pink dot you need to get a new phone, if the dot is white then liquid never got in the back way. Best bet is to bring the phone into a Bell Rep to check it out.
