How do you get symbols on this phone and can you send pictures to a email addresss?

When you display a screen where you can enter text, press Options to change the character input mode. Choose Symbol to enter symbols.
To send a Picture Mail, select Menu > Messaging > Send Message > Picture Mail and press Ok. You need to register a Sprint Picture Mail account first. Instructions on how to register an account can be found on pages 159 and 160 of the user manual.
