Okay, I have a question and I hope someone can answer it...

I just purchased an unlocked Nokia 7373, which is GSM Triband 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz. Now, the problem is I live in Toronto, Canada, and the bands that work there are 850 / 1900 MHz. So, I need to change the band on the phone from 900 to 850 MHz. I've been doing a little bit of research and I heard it is possible to change the frequency from 900 to 850 MHz by flashing the firmware or something like that, however, in Nokia phones I heard the band is in the hardware, which means you'd have to replace the hardware. Now, is this true or false? If false, is there a way to change the frequency and how?
