How to take a screenshot with the Motorola Moto G?

Reader Germini asked The Informr via email:
"I'm trying to take a screenshot on my Moto G but can't seem to see how to do that. Can you tell me how to take a screenshot on the Moto G smartphone? Thanks."

Thanks Germini. Screenshots can be different for many phones so I can't blame you. This gets confusing.

Luckly, it looks pretty simple on the G. This same technique can be used on many Android phones without requiring a special app.

1. Press and hold both the Power and Volume down key, simultaneously, for about 3 seconds.
2. You will hear the click of the camera shutter.
3. The screenshot gets saved into your Gallery. (Apps > Gallery > Screenshots)

Tip: The trick here is really to make sure you hold down the power and volume down key at the exact same time.

That's it!

p.p.s. For programmers and other more advanced Android geeks, you could also take a screenshot by connecting your phone to your PC via the USB cable and use the debug bridge (ADB) command line tool.
