Ok ok. I fully understand you. Here's something simpler, since I haven't get a hand on an HTC phone lately to figure this out. I suggest that you download the simplest (I think) launcher you can download for free. Go to Google Play store and search for Go Launcher EX. It's simpler, easy to use, and you can also easily identify the main homescreen. Give it a try! :)

If after installing this, you hated it. Simply go to Settings --> Apps -- > under Downloaded, look for Go Launcher EX, tap it (touch it) --> tap Uninstall.

Carl P, I'm not exactly sure what you're asking?? I'm not cell phone savy. I can get on it & do what I want to do, but I don't know all the capabilities of my phone. lol I know all the basics and maybe a little more, but not much. But when you start talking computer/cell phone lingo....Forget it!! I haven't a clue what you are talking about....lol All I know is that this is the 2nd time that my home screen changed on me. It was on one screen on day, the next morning, when I hit my home button on my ZTE Majesty, it takes me to the screen that was normally just to the right of my original home screen... And I don't want to have to go and change all my icons and bs around again to make my new home screen like I want it, like I did the last time. Too much of a pain in the you know what!!
