How do I sync my Facebook contacts on my Alcatel phone?

I have tried tried to sync my contacts multiple different ways from facebook ...the phone says synced but they arent there. Is there something wrong with my phone. I also sent an email to Alcatel customer service and got no response. Please help!!!

Doesn't seem to be working, have tried this several times.

Try this: Go to Settings > under Accounts tap your Facebook account > open Menu and tap Sync now.
